Die Dienststelle Umwelt und Energie (uwe) eruiert seit Beginn der 1990er Jahre anhand von Archivdokumenten, Luftbildern und Befragungen diejenigen Standorte im Kanton Luzern, die möglicherweise belastet sind. Ein belasteter Standort ist eine mit Abfall belastete, örtlich begrenzte Stelle. An belasteten Standorten wird die Umwelt in unterschiedlichem Masse gefährdet, je nach Schadstoff und Art der Freisetzung. Meist sind die Schutzgüter Oberflächengewässer, Boden oder Grundwasser betroffen. Bei Deponien mit übermässiger Gasbildung besteht die Gefahr, dass explosives oder toxisches Gas austritt.<\/p>

Achtung: Die publizierten Daten haben keine rechtliche Gültigkeit. Informationen zum Ausmass der Belastung und zu weiteren Pflichten erhalten sie bei der kantonalen Altlastenfachstelle. Katastereinträge in Vollzugsverantwortung des Bundes (Militärische Objekte, eidg. konzessionierte Transportunternehmen, Flugplätze) sind nur teilweise dargestellt. Verdachtsflächen sind nicht im KbS eingetragen.
